I've finally done it.I've finally done it. I've started a robotics club at my school. Check out the website here at woehler.us/robotics. It all started when I wondered into Radio Shack to purchase a set of quarter inch to phono adaptors and noticed a portable Video system by Lorex that was on clearance and thought that it would work great as a vision system for a robot. It's a boy! After a long awaited arrival he has finally arrived, Jonah Downs and here are the pictures to prove it. By Aaron at 2006-07-16 04:43 | login to post comments | 945 reads
Wedding PhotosI took over 200 pictures at Dan and Fern's wedding this last weekend and I'll post them here. I've already posted the family pictures from both sides of the family. You will need to create an account at photos.woehler.us to be able to see the photos. By Aaron at 2006-07-11 18:38 | Aaron's blog | login to post comments | 614 reads
12 RocksInstructions:Set out 12 rocks ( or other objects) so that there are three rows with 3, 4, and 5 rocks in each row. The goal of the game is to make the other person take the last stone. Each of you take turns removing stones from the rows. Each turn you may take as many stones as you want from one of the rows.Hint:There are 5 combinations that you can create so that you are guaranteeded to win.Misc:I could see this as a great game for students to play to help them develop their logical skills. I'll try to create a printable lesson plan & instructions for this soon. Unfotunately I can't claim that I created this game. I learned about it while I was at my brother-in-laws wedding this last weekend, a guy from Austraila named Luke showed me it to me. He didn't have a name for it so I'll just call it twelve rocks.By Aaron at 2006-07-11 18:25 | login to post comments | 357 reads
Museum of Science and IndustryI was reading a "Gifted Today Child" magazine the other day and the article mentioned the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago as having an excellent website. I took a look at it and it definitely has an immense amount of information. I really enjoyed the section about their train layout The Great Train Story. Great job.
