This summer I'm taking an Action Research class. I have decided to do my research on the effectiveness of Powerpoint in the classroom. I'm not limiting myself to Powerpoint because I am aware that there are other alternatives out there like open office. I plan on posting my results when I am finished. Over the years I have come to enjoy taking flower pictures. Several of these I believe others would love to have hanging in their house somewhere. The problem lies in the fact that many of these pictures were taken on Saturday. So I finally came up with an idea of how to effectively share these with others. An "Investment Project", an investment project is where you give all of the profits that come it got to further the God work. The profits from these photos will got to towards Adventist education, Seventh-day Adventist church, or an other Seventh-day Adventist related work.

I purchased a Wacom Bluetooth tablet the other day and just got all of the pieces to make it work correctly today. Being that I don't have Bluetooth on my computer I had to purchase an adapter the D-Link one seemed like a good deal from newegg.com. I haven't tested out the range of it yet but I hope to use it in class tomorrow while we review for the Algebra I semester final. The tablet has a 6x8 drawing area which seems to be sufficient and I really like the EverNote Plus software that comes with it, there is even a free version available.

Many of today's time-worn institutions have been carefully evaluated and have been shown to be less than forthright and honest in some of their business dealings. People, too, in both secular and religious settings ahve been shown to have character weaknesses.

In frustration people are asking, "What, if anything, can be trusted in today's world?" In a world that seems to be rushing blindly toward self-destruction, what can be counted on? Perhaps, you have asked questions like that too.

Have you ever used the quizdom audience response system. They are great. Here are a couple of things that they could do to improve they system.

• Add a + symbol so that you can enter equations for the fill in/completion question types.
• Increase the size of the fill in option beyond 10 characters.
• Add the advertized feature of displaying the graph on the teacher's remote.
• Add the a feature where the student's name will show up on the teacher's remote when they have a question.
• Improve the slide editor. There are times when it seems to have a mind of it's own and it isn't very flexible.
