I've finally done it.I've finally done it. I've started a robotics club at my school. Check out the website here at woehler.us/robotics. It all started when I wondered into Radio Shack to purchase a set of quarter inch to phono adaptors and noticed a portable Video system by Lorex that was on clearance and thought that it would work great as a vision system for a robot. It operates on 2.4 Ghz with a 300ft range. Both the base and the camera can be battery operated. When the base is plugged in you have RCA output for both audio and video. I then noticed that there was a Vex Robotics Starter kit that was also on clearance so I purchase it and a couple accessories and hopefully we will be able to get a club started where I teach this comming school year. If not I know that my little brother and I will enjoy playing with it when I go home to visit. After learning about the different pieces that were available I was able to track down a Vex progamming kit which I will be receiving in a couple of days. From what I've seen there is some great potential for integrating the system into my teaching also. Checkout woehler.us/robotics for my lesson plan ideas. I'll also duplicate them here.
